Hello! I'm Mrs. Sparks and I teach 7th grade art, Drawing 1, Drawing 2 & 3, Painting 1, Painting 2 & 3, 3-D 1-3, and Visual Communications 1-3. This is my 14th year teaching at Fairfield. In 2011, I earned a Master's degree in Studio Art in Painting from the University of Saint Francis. I enjoy helping students solve visual art problems and like to spend time working on my own art outside of school. Mrs. Amor is the other half of the art department. She teaches Intro 2-D/3-D Art, 7th and 8th grade art.
Starting with the 2012-2013 school year, each art room is equipped with a cart of iPad 3's to better serve our art students as they strive to complete our art objectives.
Objectives for Advanced Art

• technique (advancing knowledge in media)
• use of elements and principles (applied/ demonstrated in their artwork)
• critique (reflection upon own work)
• content (more message behind the art as student progresses through the program)
Students will build art vocabulary to apply in formal analysis writings about artwork and art critiques.
Students will write a formal analysis of the work of a known artist. This work includes a formal description of the artwork according to elements and principles as well as an interpretation and judgment of the artwork.
