How to Begin Your Watercolor

1.     Check these things:

a.     Drawing is correct

b.     Included shadows

c.      Grid is erased

2.     Apply masking fluid where needed

3.     Paint your background first

a.     Pay attention to the amount of water you use

4.     Mix in the complementary color for a darker shade

5.     Do not be stingy with the paint (it will dry lighter)

Preparing photo:
1. Get glass photo approved
2. Print in Photoprint 5 x 7 (enlarge to fit)
3. Grid 1" on photo & 3" on paper

Glass Painting Tips:
-Mix in the complement to make a color darker
- Hard edges vs. soft edges (glass vs. fabric)
-Look for reflected color
-Spend the most time on focal point
-After blocking color in on glass, use a pencil to sketch in finer details before painting
